U.S. Inspection & NDT, LLC serves a wide array of clients in many industries. The industries in which we operate depend upon non-destructive testing and inspection management services for the successful completion of infrastructures and components that live in unforgiving environments.
U.S. INSPECTION & NDT, LLC supports construction & fabrication Projects by offering a wide range of inspection services. Providing either traditional NDT Inspection Services as well as a full range of Advanced NDT Services that meet the different international standards for weld quality acceptance.
NDT is commonly used in manufacturing to ensure and examine the integrity of structures and various components of machinery without compromising the objects usefulness. Using non-destructive inspection methods such as x-ray, magnetic testing, ultrasonic testing or other techniques can assist with plant or product maintenance. NDT provides additional quality control and added safety, with the objective of identifying discontinuities such as:
- Surface flaws
- Thickness changes of metal pipe and plate
- The extent of corrosion, friction, and wear
- Areas of stress and strain
- Imperfections of welds
U.S. INSPECTION & NDT, LLC services steam turbine plants that produce steam using coal, oil, and natural gas. NDT Services are provided for regular maintenance, planned outages and construction projects. NDT techniques such as radiography, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, and ultrasonic testing along with visual inspections are used to examine generators, vessels and piping.
Oil & Gas
Upstream also known as exploration and production (E&P) the sector involved in the exploration and extraction of petroleum crude oil and natural gas. Exploration which is the term that is used for the geological information gathered and used to locate areas where potential underground or underwater oil and gas fields are likely to be found.Production is the actual drilling of exploratory wells and extracting oil and natural gas resources to the surface.
Midstream sector of the industry involves the transportation, storage, and marketing of crude oil and natural gas before it is refined and processed into fuels. Midstream includes pipelines and infrastructures needed to move these resources long distance, such as compressor stations, tanker trucks, and rail tank cars.
Downstream is the industry sector that involves the refining of the petroleum crude oil and the processing of raw natural gas. This also includes the selling and distribution of processed natural gas and the product extracted from petroleum crude oil.
Today modern construction projects use independent or third-party non-destructive testing and inspection to ensure the integrity and reliability of materials. Throughout construction, in order to maintain a uniform level of integrity, NDT is used to ensure the weld quality of joining processes during the fabrication and erection phases of a project. NDT inspection is performed to certify that products and materials in use continue to have the integrity necessary to warrant their longevity and to help safeguard the public and environment.
In-Service Facilities & Pipelines
U.S. INSPECTION & NDT, LLC works closely with oil & gas operators, as well as other industries to provide independent non-destructive testing (NDT) of piping systems, welded pipe, and pipeline applications.
Inspection services include:

- AWS Certified Welding Inspectors (CWI)
- NACE Certified Inspectors
- NDE Level II UT/MT/PT/RT/VT Certified Technicians
- Project/Construction Management Support
- Positive Material Identification (PMI)
- Risk Based Inspection (RBI)
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Services
Non-destructive testing (NDT) is a highly effective way to detect the smallest imperfections or damage in aviation materials or components. Inspections can be performed throughout their working life, without materially affecting the integrity of the item being tested. Complications such as fatigue cracks and corrosion are constant threats for the aviation and aerospace industry.
US Inspection & NDT's highly skilled technicians use the latest technology to identify defects in structural and surface components on aircraft that are critical, many of which would otherwise be undetected. The use of component specific NDT methods to discover internal and external flaws while inspecting various parts of the aircraft structure is critical. These precision techniques are used to detect defects such as, e.g. material thickness flaws, welding defects, bondline defects, delamination, wrinkles, porosity, foreign objects, cracks, or corrosion.
For old and new structures, non-destructive testing can help conduct condition assessments on a structures core that cannot be seen visually. Such defects as corrosion of metals, cracking of concrete, decaying of wood, and other aging effects can reduce the strength, safety, and durability of the structure. NDT methods can determine if a structure is reliable, if there are any hidden construction defects, or determine the extent of damage during a catastrophic event.
