David Chamberlain serves as COO and Corporate Radiation Safety Officer for U.S. Inspection & NDT, LLC. He has over thirteen years of direct experience in the inspection industry. Some of his qualifications include Radiation Safety Officer, Source Retrieval, AWS Certified Radiographic Interpreter, and AWS Certified Welding Inspector.

Before making a career change to the inspection industry, Chamberlain was the proprietor of a small logging business in upstate New York. This is where he developed a toughness for operational excellence navigating a successful business in a difficult market. Carrying his skills to a new industry, Chamberlain has directed multi-regional operations, successfully leading a highly skilled workforce on a multitude of projects throughout the nation. His operational acumen has driven new growth through efficient, safe and well-trained employees. The results have been proven through the probability of projects and a loyal workforce.

Chamberlain has also played a leading role in the growth and development of our highly technical inspection & NDT team. His implementation of industry specific training programs to address a national shortage of trained personnel and attract new talent has proved to be an effective model for growth. He takes great pride in making it his mission to mentor and train technicians in order to help them reach their maximum potential.

Chamberlain graduated with honors from the Aerospace Propulsion Program in the US Air Force Jet Engine School in Wichita Falls, Texas with honorable discharge. He currently works and resides in his hometown of Potter County, Pennsylvania. Residing in his hometown is his daughter and two sons who are attending college, with another son who is enlisted in the United States Army based in the State of Virginia.

Marc Paonessa serves as U.S. Inspection & NDT’s Assistant Radiation Safety Officer and Assistant Operations Manager. His nondestructive testing career began in November of 2018 while still attending college. Seeking part time work, Marc met David Chamberlain and William Schneider who offered him a position that was flexible with his college schedule. Although this position was unrelated to his Accounting Major, he accepted the job and began working closely with David and William to learn all aspects of the industry.

Paonessa originally for Lewiston, NY, attended Lewiston Porter High School and graduated with the Class of 2013. He continued his education at Niagara University where he graduated in 2017 with a bachelor’s in accounting. In 2018, while working he received his MBA with a concentration in accounting. Marc was on the Dean’s List and graduated with high honors. After finishing his college education and receiving his MBA, Marc decided to stay on a career path in the inspection industry.

Due to Paonessa’s commitment and desire to take an expanded roll with U.S. Inspection and NDT, he recently relocated from his hometown of Lewiston, NY to Wellsville, NY. He is motivated and eager to expand his knowledge experience while working with his dedicated inspection & NDT team members.

Christine Todd is the Senior Manager of Mechanical Integrity at USINDT. As a 13 year veteran in mechanical integrity, she brings expertise in maintaining the safety and security of the people working in fabrication, oil and gas, power generation, pipeline and chemical industries.

Before entering the field and being trained in MI, Christine worked in restaurant management for nearly 20 years. Her career began working in mechanical integrity and marine reporting then expanded to divisional manager. Over the years, she has managed teams of up to 50 people, including inspectors, field workers and office employees.

She brings with her an excellent safety record, a dedication to client relationships, and a focus on building a robust mechanical integrity program that works long term. She is API 510, 570 and 653 certified (piping, pressure vessels, and storage tanks) with a high level of code and regulatory compliance knowledge. Additionally, Christine has overseen MI programs both nationally and globally, adjusting to variances in the environment, code, and the impact of those on the facility. Her commitment to holding the trust of her clients has been demonstrated in her management of large projects and turnarounds.

Christine considers MI a specialty and understands that she is entrusted with the safety, financial and regulatory impacts of a good mechanical integrity program. She gets in on the ground level, helping to get these programs established or will audit and overhaul a program that is already in place. She works to deliver reporting and recommendations based on a quality inspection in the field.

Her commitment to having the trust of her clients has been demonstrated in her management of large projects and turnarounds. She stands behind the qualifications and experience of the people she works with, having worked hard to develop her team through training, education and testing. Having been trained by a top leader in this industry, Christine pays it forward and reflects a spirit of excellence that is a great asset to the U.S. Inspection & NDT team.

Christine was born and raised in New Orleans, LA, and currently resides near Lafayette. She’s a dedicated and industrious employee who finds respite from work by enjoying the outdoors and hiking and camping. She frequently spends time with her family in the Greater New Orleans area.

Derek Quebedeaux serves as the Quality Manager and Corporate Level III for U.S. Inspection & NDT, LLC. He has over twenty years of experience in the field of Nondestructive Testing with experience in performing inspections for multiple industry sectors including Aerospace, Civil Construction & Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Mining, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical & Refining, Pipeline, Power Generation, and Pulp & Paper.

After graduating from high school, Quebedeaux enrolled in the Nondestructive Testing Program at Louisiana Technical College, T.H. Harris Campus and completed the program as one of the top graduates in his class. As an NDT technician, he progressed quickly through milestones by obtaining Level II certifications in four methods within six months, AWS Certified Welding Inspector certification within four years, and became an Operations Manager and Radiation Safety Officer within five years. His diversified experience and certifications paved a path for an opportunity to obtain Level III certifications and a position as Quality Manager/Corporate Level III.

His current certifications include ASNT NDT Level III Certified across five methods, AWS Certified Welding Inspector, and AWS Certified Radiographic Interpreter. Over the years Derek has shown a commitment to excellence in all that he has done throughout his career which he now brings with him to U.S. Inspection & NDT. His vast achievements place him among the most qualified personnel in this industry.

Derek is responsible for qualification and certification of our inspection & NDT team. He ensures a depth of operational knowledge and understanding that must be demonstrated by each employee prior to performing work for U.S. Inspection & NDT. This is accomplished through the extensive hiring and training process which he directly supervises.  Additionally, he will oversee quality management system aspects throughout all the company’s operations.

Quebedeaux currently resides in his hometown of Lafayette, Louisiana with his wife and children.

Shane Witherwax serves as one of US Inspection & NDT, LLC’s Operations Managers overseeing its operations out of the Breaux Bridge, LA office. He has over twenty-five years of non-destructive testing experience in the oil and gas industry. Some of his qualifications include Radiation Safety Officer, Operations Manager, Level II Technician in radiographic testing (RT), liquid penetrant testing (PT), ultrasonic testing (UT), and magnetic particle testing (MT).

Shortly after high school Shane got into the pipeline industry as a welder’s assistant. In 1995, Shane decided to venture into the inspection side of the pipeline industry. In 2008, after acquiring the experience and training needed to be a Level II radiographer, he accepted a job as a Level II technician in RT, PT, MT, and UTT. Here is where he would gain years of hands-on experience and knowledge working as a Level II technician. After almost ten years of dedication and providing quality workmanship, he was promoted to Operations Manager in 2017.

Shane went on to successfully manage over 30 NDE crews learning the most effective methods of managing employees, driving quality control and maintaining customer relations. He effectively incorporated task specific training to teach newly assigned radiographer’s special procedures on how to make correct radiographic exposures and how to implement proper film processing techniques. This training was based on his knowledge and years of experience in the nondestructive testing industry. His goal is to ensure the highest quality of work for his customers and a safe work environment for his employees.

Mr. Witherwax currently resides in Rayne, Louisiana with his wife and 3 sons.
